PennDOT's I-376 Commercial St. Bridge Replacement

We are doing our best to keep you up to date on the progress of the bridge replacement. Obviously, this is a BIG project. You should keep an eye on PennDOT's info page for the project for official announcements about the project and detour maps. You can join PennDOT’s Parkway east listserv by emailing  ymanyisha@pa.gov with “Subscribe – Parkway East” in the subject line to get updates about the start and end dates fo upcoming work on the parkway. If you have questions abotu the bridge replacement for PennDOT, they have a dedicated email just for those it is CommStBridgeProject@pa.gov.

Our volunteers took advantage of the road being closed and collected 15 bags of trash from Forward Ave. before it could make it into Frick Park or into the stream. Thank you to everyone who showed up for a very hot cleanup!

We recognize how important emergency response during the closure is to the residents of Swisshelm Park. After months of very hard work, we got the following outline of an emergency response plan last night. As far as we know, this is the first time since the project was announced that the City has given residents a written plan for emergency services

Things are happening faster as we approach the closure date.
